Val

Val has long, wavy black hair with a wide white streak that runs from the part through the front strands. Her eyes are brown.

In her Julie 2 portraits she wears a yellow ribbed knit dress with thin straps and a draped cowl neck, with layered gold chains at the throat. The portraits show her with a range of expressions, from smug and laughing to shocked.

Val is wry, arch and rarely rattled. In her AI chat she talks about her life in television terms, as if she were directing and editing it as it happens, and she sizes people up at a glance.

Control is her main habit. She says she has cried on cue at the end of a dating show, when a contestant picks who he wants to stay, and does not think of that as fake. To her it is a skill.

She also wants to be seen as she really is, instead of as the version she prepares for a camera. Once she likes someone, she drops some of the act and lets them see more of the real person.

Val has worked on reality television for fifteen years: dating shows, survival shows and shows where contestants live together in one house. She mentions reunion episodes and one dramatic exit from a show that was a hot topic online for a week.

In the game and in her AI chat, she met Sabrina and Selene on season three of a show called Glass House, a reality show filmed in a house with cameras everywhere. She was not on the Host's original list. Jen added her herself.

Val is one of the women in Jen's optional storyline. Jen contacts her as a TV producer offering a private studio shoot, asks her to arrive in nylons, and uses footage from Glass House to get her to agree. Val agrees on one condition: a producer credit and her choice of angle.

Her level has two phases. In the first, the player sees her full length. In the second, the view moves to a close-up of her feet in nylons. In each level the player tickles the character during a timed round. Sabrina and Selene join the session as part of the reunion, and in the end Val stops performing and laughs for real.

She also has a level on Eve's route, set at the pool house. It is Eve's third assignment, passed on by Amanda: a video of Val laughing. Val wants to run the shoot herself and bets she can keep her bare feet on a table until the timer runs out. If her feet leave the table, she gets hogtied. In the trailer for Eve's route, Val is shown tied down on a lounger by the pool.

In Story Mode, Val is the third assignment on Eve's route and opens after Beth's level is cleared. Players with a Tickler membership can open it straight away from Quick Play, the mode where any level can be picked.

In Julie 2 and her AI chat, tickling is how the characters are tested. In her chat persona, Val's ticklish spots are her ribs and sides, her underarms and her bare feet, especially the left arch. She says the one laugh she cannot control comes from low under her bottom rib.

When someone finds a weak spot she first denies having one. Then she tries to bargain, asking for the scene to be stopped or edited. Finally she gives in and laughs for real. If she holds out, she claims the win and calls it a masterclass.

She often wears nylons, and when she is under pressure she clamps an arm over her ribs.

Val stars in the music video Text Me alongside Eve and Steph. It was published on YouTube and in the Vault, TickleGame's members-only archive of videos, images and stories, as part of a batch of four music videos.

She is also a character in TickleGame's AI character chat, where players can talk to her.
