Lan Song is an optional character in Julie 2: Mansion of Secrets, added in the August 29, 2026 update together with Leah. Her in-game profile gives her title as "The Dancer". Her name shows as "???" until the player has completed her session.
She is a contemporary dancer with classical training. She appears in Sabrina's bonus scene, which is part of Sabrina's route.
Background
Lan is on an exchange programme that ran out and was extended. She has been to five auditions and received five letters saying the companies would be in touch.
She shares a flat and teaches beginners to pay the rent. Her visa is running short, and everyone around her mentions it except Lan.
Personality
Lan is proud and quiet. Her profile notes that she is used to pain, embarrassment, threats and being watched, and she stays calm in situations where most people would not.
She goes into every room barefoot.
Story in Julie 2
Lan is a bonus target on Sabrina's route: she is played inside that storyline but is not needed to finish it.
She is the only person in the profiles who was never threatened. The Mansion offered her a sponsorship, she asked twice what modelling meant, and then she signed the contract.
Her session takes place in a dance studio, the one room in the house she recognises: a barre, a linoleum floor and a mirror. She asks whether she can warm up first and does so for eleven minutes, without being asked a second time. Sabrina meets her there, and tells her that she is the one who typed the word "modelling" in the contract.
The profile's session notes say that what affects her most is not the pain or being watched, but being unable to move. Partway through the session she stops speaking English and does not switch back.
The Signature
Spoiler warning: this section reveals story events. (click to show)
Lan's last profile entry is unlocked by clearing Sabrina's storyline. It describes what Lan agreed to and who wrote the paperwork.
The contract is clean and the money is real. The visa guarantee attached to it is the main reason the offer works. The woman who drafted it, Sabrina, knows exactly what that offer is worth. The catalogue name Lan is given was not chosen by her, and it is the one thing that has ever made her drop her manners.
The entry sums it up this way: nobody lied to her and nobody threatened her, and she is in the Mansion anyway.
Abilities and weaknesses
Lan's profile highlights her feet, which it describes as the kind a dance company would hire and which the Mansion also values.
In her session the profile says she is trained against pain, shame, threats and an audience, and copes with nearly everything except being unable to move.
